Data management system provider CRedit360 today announced it has earned accreditation by the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). The CDP is an independent not-for-profit organization representing 534 global institutional investors, with more than US $64 trillion in assets under management that collects key climate change data from 2,500 major corporations around the globe. This accreditation makes CRedit360 one of only four software providers worldwide (and the only provider in the UK) that meets CDP's standards for collecting, calculating and reporting greenhouse gas (GHG) information.

Achieving accreditation also distinguishes CRedit360 as an official Carbon Calculation Partner of the CDP. This is a significant milestone, as the CDP maintains the world's largest database of primary corporate climate change data and has become the global gold standard for the carbon disclosure methodology and process.

"The CDP accreditation is a significant achievement for CRedit360. As a company, we are dedicated to providing solutions that help capture, calculate and communicate carbon and sustainability data, helping our clients achieve greater insight and transparency around carbon emissions," said Mark Shields, CRedit360 Ltd Managing Director. "We are proud to be recognized by CDP as a leading provider of GHG reporting solutions and to be one of their designated partners."

Paul Dickinson, CEO of the Carbon Disclosure Project, said, "CDP is delighted to be working with CRedit360 as a Carbon Calculation Partner. The software has undergone testing by a third party to ensure meets our criteria for performance and we are pleased to recommend this tool in the calculation of carbon emissions."

The evaluation involved producing emissions data replicating a typical company scenario, using CRedit360 for calculation, reporting and other related activities that support successful reporting of emissions data to CDP. Data collection was based on the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol developed by the World Resource Institute and World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and incorporated a full range of scope one to three emission sources. The GHG Protocol is the most widely used international accounting standard for business leaders to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions.

In addition to the initial requirements, CRedit360 also completed a rigorous testing and review process administered by an additional independent third party, on behalf of the CDP. With more than 70 global clients, at least 20 of which report to the CDP, and steady growth over the last eight years, CRedit360 passed the CDP requirements for accreditation.
