Addison, a creative services company specializing in strategic business and investor communications, designed Ceres' recently released report, 21st Century Corporation: The Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability.

"Few can match Ceres when it comes to demonstrating how corporations can begin to comprehensively tackle sustainability in a way that is meaningful to their bottom line," said Roger Byrom, Addison's CEO. "Our design brought this roadmap to life in an accessible way. We are proud to work with such a dynamic and influential organization."

Addison has been designing Ceres' whitepapers and annual reports since 2007. For its 20th anniversary conference, the organization also turned to Addison to illustrate the Ceres 20·20 vision with a dynamic micro site that was featured as Communication Arts' "web Pick of the day." The site highlights Ceres' 20 years of success, its growing leverage, and its vision to improve the capital markets for a more livable, safe and just future.

In addition to working with Ceres, Addison has also worked with such Fortune 500 companies as CA, Constellation Energy, ITT Corporation (a Ceres company), Merck, and Time Warner (also a Ceres company) on their sustainability reports and other corporate social responsibility communications.

As Ceres president Mindy Lubber advised, "Sustainability performance is fundamental for business success in the 21st century. If businesses deepen their efforts to solve social and environmental threats, it will position them to innovate and compete in the fast-changing, resource-constrained global economy."

The Ceres Roadmap includes aspects for companies of all shades of green, from first-time corporate responsibility reporters to long-time sustainability practitioners. Designed as a practical guide, it outlines more than 200 specific expectations in four areas all companies could be focusing on to improve their overall performance and top-to-bottom business strategy.

These expectations include:

Governance: Companies will embed sustainability in the boardroom and manage their entire value chain from a sustainability perspective

Stakeholder Engagement: Companies will regularly engage in dialogue with stakeholders and integrate their feedback into strategic planning and operational decision-making

Disclosure: Companies will report regularly on their sustainability strategy and performance, including detailed goals and plans for future actions

Performance: Companies will systematically improve sustainability performance across their entire operations and supply chain

Addison will be also be hosting a booth at Ceres' annual conference on May 5-6 in Boston.
