/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores donated more than $1.1 million in cash and products to non-profit organizations in 2009. In addition, Jo-Ann customers and Team Members once again displayed their generosity, donating through personal contributions and company-sponsored fundraisers, bringing total 2009 giving to more than $1.2 million.
"We are pleased to be able to make a difference in our communities at a time when charitable organizations are in such critical need," notes Darrell Webb, chief executive officer. "Our support last year was a 67% increase compared with 2008."
