Reflecting the rise of social media, the Cause Marketing Halo Awards has added best online video and digital marketing campaign categories to the world’s leading awards program for initiatives that do well by doing good.

Entries featuring programs conducted in 2009 are sought in 11 categories:


  • Best Transactional Campaign (generates donations via consumer activity)

  • Best Message-Focused Campaign (a cause campaign focused on sharing an important message)

  • Best Health-Related Campaign

  • Best Environmental or Animal Campaign

  • Best Social Service or Education Campaign

  • Best National/Local Integration: A campaign that successfully integrates local chapters and/or business units into a national cause-related campaign.

  • Best Digital Marketing Campaign

  • Best Event Marketing Campaign

  • (fundraising or message-driven consumer events)


  • Best Online Video Creative

  • Best Broadcast Video Creative

  • Best Print Creative

Entries are due at the Cause Marketing Forum's headquarters in Rye, NY by February 1. Extensions are available until February 5 with the payment of a late fee.

Winners will be honored at a gala awards luncheon sponsored by USA Today during the Cause Marketing Forum conference on June 3 at the Westin Chicago River North. Winners will also be featured in advertorials to appear in Advertising Age and USA Today.
