The devastating earthquake this week in Haiti has prompted Nourish America to broaden its support beyond the U.S. shores initiating an extensive relief effort and a two year support program for the victims of the earthquake, with a particular focus on the children. The children of Haiti make up almost 50% of the country's population. With the devastating losses from the quake and aftershocks, tens of thousands of these children are likely to be devastated by the trauma from the disaster as well as from the loss of their parents. Nourish America's committment is to support these children in the recovery and reconstruction of their lives for two full years.

Since Hurricane Katrina landed on the Gulf Coast in 2005, Nourish America has rushed to the rescue hundreds of thousands of children and their families who were victims of disasters.
