Jaguar Land Rover North America and Tata Sons Limited executives share new books with New Jersey children.

Jaguar Land Rover North America and the Tata group of companies in the United States announced a donation of 10,000 books to children throughout New Jersey as part of the companies' partnership with First Book, a nonprofit organization that provides new books to children in need. Representatives from the premium-niche luxury automobile company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Limited, gathered with the first graders of Jackson Avenue Elementary School this week to kick off the first distribution of 1,000 new books.

David Good of Tata Sons, Ltd. was joined by Gary Temple, President of Jaguar Land Rover North America, and employees from Jaguar Land Rover's North America headquarters in Mahwah, N.J. Together with Jackson Avenue First Graders they participated in reading activities, as well as an exploration of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles. The event celebrated First Book's mission to provide new books to children who need them most, and highlighted Tata's commitment to improving the quality of education in New Jersey by presenting each child with two new books, including Green Eggs and Ham and Cars, a Little Golden Book, to help build their own home library.

Jaguar Land Rover and Tata Sons representatives were joined by Edward Kliszus, Superintendent at the Hackensack Board of Education, who shares First Book, Jaguar Land Rover, and Tata's commitment children's literacy and the power of reading.

"It is an honor to partner with First Book and support its mission to provide new books to children in need," said Temple, "As a business leader in the state of New Jersey, it is a priority for us to commit to furthering literacy across our state."
