Sustainability, corporate responsibility, and the triple-bottom line approach to business is now defined as corporate opportunity. New regulations and expectations call for the reduction of harmful business practices. According to McKinsey, 95% of CEO's report that businesses must address the social and environmental pressures of society. A recent MIT Sloan study highlights mounting evidence that employees will drive companies' efforts to address sustainability and C-Suite executives believe responsibility for sustainability lies with all employees.

In order for senior management to steer their firms to take on the massive challenge to address a triple bottom line, they will need thoughtful participation from forward-thinking employees. NYWSE will ensure that female professionals become those innovative and highly effective change agents who can move their firms toward sustainability and profitability.

NYWSE ESL program begins January 2010 in NYC. The program is designed for female professionals. It provides support and training to ensure female professionals develop effective strategies to ensure their firm addresses sustainability in ways that produce profits and social good.

NYWSE ESL will teach women HOW to help their workplace take practical steps to become more sustainable and profitable.

This training program will provide best practices, lessons learned, and advice on how to implement a sustainability initiative from within. Bob Willard, a leading expert in sustainability will also be available to answer questions.

Participants will develop a business case and then present their plan to a panel of experts who will provide each woman with key feedback, on strategy and implementation tactics, to ensure the success of their sustainability initiatives.
