The Feast Social Innovation Conference

New York-based company All Day Buffet will assemble the world's most creative entrepreneurs, mavericks and innovators in one room during The Feast Social Innovation Conference on October 1st, 2009.

A creative look at the world's toughest problems, The Feast Conference presents the most innovative solutions, insights, and best practices as a catalyst toward action. Speakers from a variety of backgrounds will share insights on how the power of creativity can propel social change within and across industries.

The Feast employs an innovative ticketing model to connect and empower a bottom-up movement. All standard tickets go to subsidize $99 invitations to awe-inspiring vanguards in order to ensure perspective and participation from the highest caliber of thought and execution, regardless of background or means. In the past, attendees have ranged from advertising agencies and investment banks to non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs.

A second day of optional events include hands-on workshops and a fast pitch competition that spotlights 10 of the most innovative for-good-for-profit businesses before a room of investors, venture philanthropists and media.

Focusing their efforts on New York, All Day Buffet seeks to address global issues through a local context, inviting innovators from around the world to NYC as a launch pad of change.

Frustrated by the barriers to true participation in a time that needs it most, the organizers of the conference ask participants to do just that-participate. "We're flipping the model on its head and saying 'you can't buy change, you have to create it,'" said Jerri Chou, Co-founder of All Day Buffet. "It’s not about talk, it’s about action, and there’s no place that knows that better than New York. This city offers the perfect blend of creativity, social mindedness and get-it-done bootstrap mentality."

"This is more than a conference," said Chou. "It’s a movement to change the way we do good."

Speakers at The Feast include:
