CARNIVAL JAKMÉL MASKS features hand painted masks made from recycled cement bags, inspired by Haiti's fashion story. Beginning in 1960 President John F. Kennedy initiated a program to ship tons of used clothing from America to Haiti. Still called 'Kennedee' in tribute to JFK, used clothing markets fill the streets and are the source of fashion for the majority of Haitian people. They are also a wealth of new design ideas for the master artisans of Jakmèl who have adapted motifs and patterns from these recycled fashions.

CROIX DES BOUQUETS MIRRORS features chiseled cut metal mirrors made from recycled oil drums. These mirrors reference mythical ages when spiritual guardians walked with human beings in the world garden. Mirrors have a very magical function in African traditions, and are the foundation of Haitian culture.

BRANDAID PROJECT is a solution to global poverty that combines product design, branding and marketing to grow artisan businesses across the developing world. BRANDAID Project identifies unique communities working with organizations such as UNESCO and partners directly with the artisans to create authentic works of art for the fashion and home décor markets. BRANDAID Project shares profits with artisans and invests in programs that improve living and working conditions in artisan communities.
