Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) today announced the release of its inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report. Titled Today's Actions Help Shape Our Future, the 2008 report is a milestone in NU's history. The content of the report documents the present state of sustainability within NU, organized in four broad, overlapping segments: Our Region, Our Business, Our Environmental Performance and Our People.

"As New England's largest energy utility, we have always focused on the fundamentals of providing safe and reliable service to our customers with an eye on the environment," said Charles W.
