MS&L Be:CAUSE Community Connected Award seeks organizations that are "Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders"

NEW YORK, June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- MS&L, one of the world's leading communications firms, is offering $100,000 in pro-bono communications and social media support to a non-profit organization based in the New York metropolitan area that focuses on youth and young adults in New York. The agency is accepting applications for the 2009 "MS&L Be:CAUSE Community Connected Award" from organizations that have a unique vision and are committed to this year's award theme: "Empowering Tomorrow's Leaders." This philanthropic initiative is part of MS&L New York's holistic approach to engage and support the community by being a good corporate citizen.
"Community organizations have a lot to gain by developing a strong network of volunteers, donors, sponsors and families, and MS&L is excited to bring them a professional, cost-effective strategy to build that communications network," said Renee Wilson, managing director of MS&L's New York office. "Particularly in these economic times, it's important that we remain committed to utilizing our business strengths to the benefit of our communities and future leaders."
MS&L understands that today's young people - members of the "Generation Y" and "Millennial Generation" - are rewriting the rules for how the world communicates and interacts socially. This year's award theme was designed to recognize an organization that supports youth and young adults in their development and involvement in the community.
The recipient of the MS&L Be:CAUSE Community Connected Award will receive up to $100,000 of pro-bono communications support, particularly in the area of digital communications and social media.

All applicants must be registered 501(c)3 organizations that have been established for a minimum of two years. The application deadline is Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
