VJ was introduced by John D. Wren, president and CEO of the Omnicom Group Inc., at the 23rd Annual Prism Award Luncheon. Some 500 industry leaders gathered at the event held at Gotham Hall in New York City.

The Prism Award recognizes excellence in graphic communications media, leadership, and innovation and is presented annually to outstanding business leaders as well as to a student or member of the alumni whose academic achievements and contributions to the industry are exemplary. Recent recipients include: Hearst Magazines' Cathleen Black; Newsweek's Richard M. Smith; Eastman Kodak's Antonio M. Perez; and Xerox's Anne M. Mulcahy.

All donations support the Prism Fellowship Student Scholarship Fund in the M.A. in Graphic Communications Management and Technology program, recognized by the EDSF Award for Excellence in Education and Innovation for Higher Education.
