PITTSBURGH--Alcoa announced today that it is the recipient of the 2006 International Bridge Award for Commerce from The Pittsburgh Council for International Visitors (PCIV) for its global vision and global stewardship. Alcoa was honored during a reception held in Pittsburgh earlier this week. The International Bridge Award represents a collaboration between the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and PCIV with goals to advance regional awareness of Pittsburgh's international leadership in Commerce, Culture and Community.

The annual awards program began in 1993 to acknowledge corporate, organizations and individuals whose efforts have succeeded in building bridges between the Pittsburgh region and other parts of the world.
