DOW to Sponsor the Conference Board's Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Seminars

MIDLAND, MI - July 2, 2007 - The Dow Chemical Company announced Monday its sponsorship of The Conference Board's four upcoming Global Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability Seminars.

The seminars will begin with events on October 10 and 11 in Chicago and October 23 and 24 in New York City. These events, featuring speakers from a variety of industries, will explore the extraordinary changes companies are making to transform the way they approach business "“ at home and around the world.

David Graham, Dow's vice president of environmental health and safety, and Patti Temple-Rocks, Dow's vice president of global communications and reputation, will present, "Building a Sustainable Brand for the 21st Century" at the Chicago and New York events respectfully. Within their presentations, they will discuss the role that corporate social responsibility and sustainability have played in helping to build Dow's reputation as a leader among stakeholders.

In addition, Mike Witt, Dow's program director for energy and climate change, and Scott Noesen, Dow's global director of sustainable development, will be participating in a panel discussion entitled "Climate Change "“ Taking Action" at the Chicago and New York events respectfully.
