Listen and learn as the leaders of the Women Can Campaign describe new initiatives to help women gain the capabilities, connections, and credibility they need to advance into leadership positions in business, government, and the nonprofit sector in their countries.

  • Diane von Furstenberg will describe her commitment to expanding leadership opportunities for women in emerging nations, including her support of Vital Voices and the Women Can Campaign and other projects. In addition, 10% of the profits from all sales in her stores and on her web site (www.dvf.com) during the week of March 2 to 8 will be donated to Vital Voices. Her stores around the world will host Vital Voices events, including the production of a documentary theatre piece, Seven, and talks by special guest speakers from the Vital Voices Global Leadership Network.

  • Lorie Jackson will describe the African Women's Leadership Initiative, a $1.5-million, three-part partnership with Vital Voices that is part of ExxonMobil's $11-million Educating Women & Girls Initiative. This project helps African women artisans expand their businesses internationally and provide stable jobs and skills; gives African women political candidates techniques and tools to run their campaigns and strengthen democracies; and supports African lawyers and advocates in changing antiquated laws that impede women from fully participating in their economies.

  • Carly Fiorina will discuss her new projects focused on global economic development and grassroots individual empowerment "“ with one key area being economic empowerment for women in poverty-plagued societies.

  • David Jones will discuss the commitment of Euro RSCG Worldwide to developing brand identity tools and communications support for the Women Can Campaign.
