Harcourt, Inc. announced today that it will donate 1,000 copies each of one of its most popular and best-selling books, Stellaluna, to young children's programs in the states of Massachusetts and Texas in honor of legislation sponsored by Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy.
Copies of Stellaluna will be donated in honor of Senator Kennedy to childcare centers in Massachusetts and in honor of Senator Hutchison to programs for young children in Texas. Senators Hutchison and Kennedy announced today that they are co-sponsoring the Book Stamps legislation, which is intended fund programs where needy children between birth and age seven receive books they can keep and treasure.
