McDonald's Announces Members of Global Advisory Council on Healthy Lifestyles

Oak Brook, IL. McDonald's Corporation today announced the membership of its newly created Global Advisory Council on Healthy Lifestyles. The Advisory Council is comprised of experts in the areas of fitness, nutrition and active lifestyles. This independent group will help guide the company on activities that address the need for balanced, healthy lifestyles.

Jim Cantalupo, Chairman and CEO of McDonald's Corporation recently announced several worldwide leadership initiatives to offer even more choice on its menu, provide additional consumer information and promote healthy lifestyles. Cantalupo also named McDonald's Corporate Vice President Ken Barun to lead McDonald's efforts in this area, and to work with the Advisory Council and other experts as programs are implemented in McDonald's markets worldwide.

"We look forward to the Council's vigorous and independent input and thinking as we work together to address the needs of consumers around the world," said Barun. "Their expertise will be invaluable as we continue to develop activities and programs that address this important subject."
