The J.M. Smucker Company has been named one of the 100 best companies to work for in America, according to Fortune Magazine's third annual survey. Smucker, which was ranked 22 this year, has made the list each year since Fortune began the survey in 1997. The Company was also ranked 22 in 1998 and 1997.

Fortune's 1999 prestigious ranking of The J.M. Smucker Company was based on a number of factors including employee turnover rate, job growth, and employee training. Also noted was the goodwill gesture the company made for it's 100th anniversary in 1997 - a pancake breakfast for the entire town of Orrville, the location where the company was founded and where its headquarters are still located.
