DENVER & MOUNTAIN VIEW, California - Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq:INTU) today announced that the company has launched a special disaster relief program to help the Denver community recover from the wildfires that are devastating the state of Colorado. Intuit acquired Denver-based American Fundware, Inc., now known as Intuit Public Sector Solutions, just one week after the fires broke out on June 8.

Through its philanthropic We Care & Give Back program, Intuit's local aid will consist of monetary donations to The Salvation Army, as well as employee volunteer outreach, all aimed at supporting the local firefighters. Under the program:

- The Salvation Army will receive a monetary contribution to buy food and supplies for the more the 2,000 front-line firefighters;

- Intuit will donate two dollars for every dollar donated by employees to The Salvation Army/Hayman Fire or American Red Cross Disaster Relief/Hayman Fire;

- Denver employees may take paid time off to volunteer in local shelters and area relief efforts.

"As long-standing members of the Denver community, our 80 person staff decided collectively to support the relief efforts by committing time and resources to helping the courageous men and women who are fighting these ravaging fires," said Michael Potts, vice president of Intuit's Public Sector Solutions. "The supplementary support that Intuit, our new parent company, is providing to help our neighbors shows that they care about the communities where their employees live."

"While Intuit's presence in Colorado may be new, we are pulling the whole company together to help Denver-area citizens recover from the most devastating wildfires in Colorado history," said Laura Castaneda, Intuit's We Care & Give Back group manager. "We're committed to helping local Denver residents get through this emergency and start rebuilding their lives."

Intuit also announced a similar program to assist brushfire-related relief efforts in Arizona. In addition, the company will continue to match employee donations to agencies in other fire-affected areas through ongoing programs.
