Bogota, Colombia - The Following are some of the activities ABB Colombia has done in Bogotá regarding Social Responsibility during years 2001 and 2002.

Godparents Plan: ABB has joined this program promote by the “Minuto de Dios” (Giving support to very poor people) helping 10 children whose parent’s socioeconomic situation have not allowed them to put the children into school.

Donation of Computers: ABB Colombia met the main program leadered by our CEO in Zurich. This Program is based in the donation of computers to different educational institutions, which has that specific need. These let us help collaborating with the education and development of children. Therefore, the company has donated more than 40 computers during year 2002.

Halloween Party for the children of our neighborhood: ABB has joined the community of the nearest neighborhood from ABB´s location. Donating presents, sweets and candies so they can have moments of happiness in companion with their parents.

Give the children back a Smile: This campaign was promoted into the company to give toys, clothes, etc to children scarce of resources. Thanks to ABB Colombia employees was possible for the children from the Foundations “Niños Triunfadores” and “Niños del padre Luna” to have a smile in Christmas.

Solid waste program: The different solid waste that is recycled in the company is sold and then converted in bonus for the cleaning people.

Lip and palate fissure: ABB was one of the sponsors in a fashion show to collect money to buy equipments to make plastic surgeries and physical treatment for scarce children.

Festival of Second-hand things: ABB Colombia employees organized this event to collect different articles in good conditions as clothes, pots, books, shoes, toys, etc. these articles were donated to a charity foundation.
