USDATA Appoints Vice President of Operations; Deborah Blackstone to Lead Key Corporate Position

RICHARDSON, Texas - USDATA Corporation (Nasdaq:USDC), a leading supplier of industrial automation software solutions, today announced that Deborah Blackstone has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. Ms. Blackstone most recently served as Director of Operations.
In her new role, Ms. Blackstone will be responsible for USDATA's business systems, information technology, product manufacturing, and legal administration.
"I am excited to announce the promotion of Debbie to Vice President of Operations," said Bob Merry, President and CEO. "She is a long-time USDATA veteran and her diverse experience within USDATA's organization uniquely qualifies her to execute the duties of this key internal operations role."
Since joining USDATA in 1990, Ms. Blackstone has held various management roles in USDATA's sales, finance, and operations departments. While in the sales organization Ms. Blackstone was involved in channel administration, proposal management, sales forecasting, order administration, sales support, and key account project management. In her more recent roles in finance and operations her responsibilities were expanded to include production, warehousing, and distribution.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas, Ms. Blackstone holds a master of business administration and a bachelor of science in business administration.
