SAN FRANSICO, California - Co-founder of Business 2.0 magazine, Executive Editor of Sojourners magazine and professor of social ethics and religion at the University of San Francisco, David Batstone, has signed his first trade book deal to Jossey-Bass/A Wiley Company. Senior Editor Susan Williams acquired from Saving the Corporate Soul from Mark Tauber of Agora Media, in a six-figure, world rights deal. Williams comments that, "David Batstone is pioneering a new and powerful model that helps people negotiate the tough intersection of their values and their work lives and we are going to ensure his message gets out there by making it our lead title for the Winter 2003 season."
As a co-founder of Business 2.0 (which was sold to AOL Time Warner in 2001), Executive Editor of Sojourners (the leading spirituality& social justice magazine), a contributor to many business, technology and spirituality outlets (eg., San Francisco Examiner, New York Times, Wired Magazine), and a regular consultant to corporations and organizations in the U.S. and in Europe including BMW Global, The Swedish Trade Ministry, Vivendi Universal, and The Stockholm School of Economics & Business, Batstone has the experience and the platform to write and promote in this category.
