SAN FRANCISCO "“ September 10, 2008 "“ Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) has added more speakers to its Conference lineup this fall: SK Telecom President and CEO Shin Bae Kim will be a plenary speaker, and Ford Motor Company Group Vice President, Global Purchasing, Thomas K. Brown will speak at a session on supply chain capacity building. The BSR Conference, "Sustainability: Leadership Required," takes place Nov. 4-7 at New York's Grand Hyatt.

"These speakers will contribute to the rich dialogue on cutting-edge sustainability solutions that we're excited to feature at the BSR Conference this year," said Diane Osgood, BSR's Vice President, CSR Strategy. "We expect that the diverse perspectives of these global business leaders will spark ideas for pragmatic, effective initiatives that attendees will be able to implement when they return to their own 'business of sustainability' after Conference."

SK Telecom's Shin Bae Kim was named President of the company in 2004 and has since led SK Telecom as a driving force in Korea's competitive mobile market. In 2007, he helped the company earn a record US$12 billion in revenue, with a base of 22 million subscribers. With an emphasis on innovation, Kim - whom Ernst & Young named Korea's Entrepreneur of the Year in 2008 - has launched some of the world's first technologies, including wireless multimedia and satellite digital multimedia broadcasting services. He also has led the company in implementing sustainable growth strategies in Vietnam and strategic alliances in China. Kim holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business and has been with SK Telecom since 1995, when he served as head of the Business Strategy Office.

Ford Motor Company's Thomas K. Brown will speak at the BSR Conference session on "Capacity Building of a Better Supply Chain," which will look at practical examples of how to drive real, sustainable change in working conditions on the factory floor. In April 2008, Brown was named Group Vice President, Global Purchasing. In this role, he is responsible for more than US$90 billion of production and non-production procurement for Ford operations worldwide. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for Global Purchasing; Executive Director, Manufacturing Procurement Operations, Ford Global Purchasing; and Director, Ford Purchasing Global Strategic Planning and Process Leadership. Prior to joining Ford in 1999, Brown was United Technologies Automotive's Vice President of Supply Management.
