SAN FRANCISCO - November 21, 2006 - Business for Social Responsibility (BSR) is pleased to announce that Jeremy Prepscius has been appointed Asia Director to help the organization expand its presence and activities in the region. To be based in Hong Kong, Prepscius will collaborate with China Director Wei Dong Zhou, who leads BSR's office in Guangzhou, to position BSR for further growth in Asia.

Prepscius comes to the position with 10 years of headquarters and field experience at Nike, where he served most recently as a member of the company's Corporate Responsibility Strategic Planning team. From 2000-2005, he played a key role in building Nike's highly regarded CSR program, based most recently in Guangzhou, and prior to that in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. During his time at Nike, Prepscius built a strong network of colleagues amongst BSR member companies, as well as with leading NGOs, government agencies and multilateral organizations active on CSR in the region.

After an initial period at BSR headquarters in San Francisco, Prepscius will move to Hong Kong in January to work closely with BSR's Guangzhou-based staff, providing advice and counsel to member companies, their supply chain partners, and leading civil society and public institutions.
