REDWOOD SHORES, California - The Women of Color Action Network (WCAN) is holding its annual Spring Forum 2002 Wednesday, June 12, 2002, 4 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Oracle Conference Center, 350 Oracle Parkway in Redwood Shores, featuring keynote speaker Carol H. Williams, Carol H. Williams Advertising. This year's theme focuses on "Women of Color Exploring Our Leadership Impact: Collectively and Individually." Leadership and executive track sessions also highlight some of today's top executive talent who tackle problems that affect professional women of color every day. Each participant can expect benefits that include increased knowledge, experiential learning, growth and an expanded network.

Williams has over thirty years of key experience and has developed some of the most memorable brand building campaigns in recent history including the Secret Antiperspirant campaign, "Strong Enough for a Man" which generated a dramatic turnaround for a declining brand.

Williams continues to create highly effective breakthrough advertising for her clients. Recognizing the need to successfully communicate to African Americans with targeted strategic communications, Williams founded CHWA in 1986.

Featured breakout session panelists include Norwita Williams Powell, Norma Barrera and Sandra Kataoka for the executive roundtable, which is facilitated by Theresa Isaacs. Leadership development panelists feature Gwyneth Borden, Syndi Seid and Sarah Taylor, which is facilitated by Robin Tucker.

Oracle Corporation is the presenting sponsor. Other major sponsors to date include Lee Hecht Harrison, Mercer and Apple Computer.
