London - Business in the Community, a unique movement of 700 member companies committed to continually improving their positive impact on society, announced today that they have selected Drax Executive, a leading European executive search and selection firm within corporate governance, sustainability and CSR to be their human capital partner.

Business in the Community (BITC), an independent charity with 20 years' experience of achieving their charitable purpose "to create a public benefit by working with companies to improve the positive impact of business in society", are the largest UK national organisation of its kind. Today BITC member companies employ over 15.7 million people in over 200 countries worldwide. In the UK BITC members employ over 1 in 5 of the
private sector workforce and include 85% of the FTSE 100.

Peter Davies OBE, Deputy CEO, commented - "we are delighted to receive the support from an organisation of Drax's standing. It is imperative to BITC that even our support partners practice the key principals of sustainable methodologies and embrace CSR. With the continued adoption of CSR, our members executive boards will invest the same time, and resource as they do with all of their major business challenges.

"It has for our members, justifiably, entered the mainstream of their organisations. Therefore in response to the challenges ahead, BITC, like so many of our own member organisations, have a responsibility to act swiftly and effectively to ensure that our Human Capital programme is invested in.

"We believe Drax to be an organisation who will work with us to unlock the value that we can deliver to our members and ensure that our position as the thought leader is secured through guaranteeing that the widest and most talented audience considers BITC as an employer of choice. Too many leading practitioners within business fail to adopt internally what they evangelise externally-we will not be one of those organisations.

"We look forward to developing a collaborative relationship with Drax where our members and our programmes are the true beneficiaries."
