New York, NY - Bridging modern art, younger audiences and awareness of sustainable lifestyles, Pop Sustainability is partnering with Fine Arts International Management (FAIM) to throw a party!

The event serves to unveil a new work by Kip Frace who was just recently designated an official artist of the U. S. Partnership for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development. The spectacular twenty foot piece entitled "Evolution" is for sale at the event. Limited edition fine art prints and posters promote the mission of the UN Decade by not only raising awareness but also providing a unique source of revenue.

Attendees can also view and purchase a wide range of talented artists' works for reasonable prices. Amidst the global music vibe of one of New York's top DJs, talented young hip hop artist Ihsan is both performing and hosting the event. In the background, a video crew stimulates an undertone of conversation about the viewpoints of attendees on the issue sustainability.

Pop Sustainability's focus on young adults, popular culture and sustainability has inspired this eclectic but surprisingly natural combination for a benefit event. "The UN Decade is creating a call to action for the global movement towards awareness and action for sustainability," explains Pop Sustainability's Executive Director, Kimberly Heismann. "It is a great honor for Pop Sustainability to accept that call and to make a unique contribution in the best way we know how: a melting pot of dynamic people, contemporary art and urban culture." www.popsustainability.org

The UNESCO-sponsored UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development begins in January 2005 and goes through December of 2014. The UN Decade's purpose is to spur on programs that promote local, national and global awareness of the goals of sustainable development. The US Partnership is our national community-building convener, catalyst and communicator (www.uscdesd.org).
