ROTTERDAM - AIESEC is opening applications for companies and organizations interested in participation in the CSR Case Studies Competition for Youth. Companies will be provided with an opportunity to present real-life case studies related to topics of CSR to a wide audience of students at the www.aiesec.org/csr platform. Up to 10 companies from a variety of sectors will be provided with an opportunity to present real-life case studies related to topics of CSR inviting students to tackle the challenges of corporate citizenship. The topics can cover a wide range CSR issues and tools, ranging from the general definition of CSR policies and strategies for the company to the identification of stakeholder expectation in specific regions, profiting from AIESEC´s international network.

Over a period of four months students then have a chance to solve the cases presented. This can happen as an individual assignment or as teamwork in physical meetings at national or international conferences or in a virtual forum on the online system. AIESEC will provide a platform, where students can meet to form these groups as well as to exchange ideas. The competition will be backed by multiple online and physical activities organized by AIESEC in the areas of CSR and Sustainable Development to enhance students learning and expertise in the competition.

The best answers will be awarded with participation in the CSR Symposium at AIESEC International Presidents Meeting in March, where the case studies will be presented to student representatives of 80 countries. Companies will be invited to meet with the winners of the Competition, as well as a wider community of young leaders, AIESEC members, and network with other companies at the CSR Symposium.

AIESEC is uniquely positioned to educate youth on social issues. For many years, the organization has been active in the push to make CSR and Sustainability mainstream in business and has taken an active part in the Rio Earth Summit of 1992 as well as in Johannesburg in 2003.

With a wide community of young members present at www.aiesec.net, AIESEC is capable to promote CSR Case Studies to thousands of young people with hundreds participating directly in the Case Studies Competition. Since its foundation in 1948, AIESEC has grown to become the largest student-run organization in the world, today present at more than 700 universities in more than 80 countries.

The Case Studies Competition will be officially launched in the CSR Symposium at AIESEC´s International Congress hold in Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro on September 5th 2003.

The first round of the competition will be run from: October 1st 2003 to January 30 2004.

Application deadline for participating organizations is: September 15 2003.
