London, UK - A Showcase of sustainable development projects will be launched by heads of government and business leaders at the Commonwealth Business Forum in Abuja, Nigeria on 1st December.

The Commonwealth Sustainable Showcase incorporates a live webcast, an online
archive of development projects and a dedicated TV studio. Highlights from the Commonwealth Business Forum (1-4 December) and the subsequent Heads of Government Meeting taking place on the 5-8 December in Nigeria, will be beamed "live" from the Showcase studio in Abuja to broadcasters throughout the Commonwealth.

This CBC initiative will provide the first ever platform for business, government, and civil society to inform audiences across the Commonwealth about sustainable development projects and initiatives.

Steve Godfrey, Director of the Commonwealth Business Council said: "This showcase is an opportunity for all of us in the Commonwealth, in the private sector and beyond to look at what businesses and governments are doing about
sustainable development".

Sustainableshowcase.net will also provide coverage of plenary sessions from the Commonwealth Business Forum, pre-recorded video footage of development projects, interviews with business leaders, civil society and governments, and a library of images and case studies promoting partnerships and programmes.

The website, which can be viewed at www.sustainableshowcase.net, will be 'live' from 1-8 December 2003 and will remain a permanent record of Commonwealth sustainable development projects.
