Mountain View, CA - ESP (Environmental Software Providers) has announced that its software has been selected by Eni for enterprise-wide greenhouse gas management. The Italian-based Eni, one of the world's largest energy companies, will implement the software for its global operations in 70 countries. Immediately the software is being deployed to support business processes related to the EU Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading System which is now in effect in Europe. Eni will use an integrated solution consisting of ESP's opsEnvironmental™ for tracking, managing and reporting on greenhouse gas data, and its ecoAsset Manager™ for managing both the compliance and the financial aspects of greenhouse gas emissions allowance portfolio management and trading.
