Stockholm - The founders of Ethix have, together with the Nordic investment consultant Wassum created a joint holding company that owns Ethix SRI Advisors AB. The aim of the cooperation is to further develop and secure the market’s access to qualified services within SRI and corporate governance in which Ethix, with its specialist competence, will have a decisive role.

Ethix started in August 2003 and works with research and advice, primarily for institutional investors who want to ensure the quality of the equities in their portfolios on ethical and environmental grounds. In its client base, Ethix can count state pension funds, foundations, institutional asset managers and securities brokers. Amongst these are the Sjunde AP-fonden (Seventh AP Fund) and Kammarkollegiet (The Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency).

“With Wassum, we now have a partner with a large contact network and complementary knowledge in the areas of financial research and asset management. This cooperation gives us access to an established infrastructure with offices in Stockholm, Bergen, Oslo and Helsinki, and ensures a more rapid expansion across the Nordic market,” says Ulrika

Ethix is in the final stages of negotiations with a few institutional investors for a stakeholder position in Ethix.
