Swiss global cement producer Holcim Ltd has published its sustainability report for 2004/2005. The Group is well on track to achieving its sustainability targets and has set further targets in the area of atmospheric emissions and occupational health and safety. The efforts of Holcim are increasingly being acknowledged by the outside world, as illustrated by the company's recognition as "Leader of the industry" in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2006 and the various awards received by Group companies.
The sustainability report includes all business areas of Holcim and is the second to be issued by the Group in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative Guidelines.
