PROVO, UT - Tahitian Noni International, developer and exclusive provider of the internationally acclaimed TAHITIAN NONI(R) Juice, recently announced that the worldwide call for assistance in the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Southeast Asia is being answered quickly and generously. Kelly Olsen, president of Tahitian Noni International, stated, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of life and devastation caused by this recent disaster. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims and their families at this time of great loss, and we will do all that we can to help ease the tremendous burden and heartache they are currently facing. We have, and will continue to, donate generously to the ongoing relief efforts."

When asked what Tahitian Noni International was doing specifically to help in the relief effort, Olsen explained, "We are proud to be a generous donor to LDS Humanitarian Services, which was one of the first organizations on the ground in the area with relief in the way of food, water, and supplies. They are recognized worldwide for their quick response to disasters of all types. More than 70 tons of medical supplies, hygiene kits, clothing and shoes are being flown to Indonesia to aid tsunami victims in a partnership effort by the Islamic Relief Worldwide and Humanitarian Services. As an interesting note, over 100 executives and employees of Tahitian Noni International spent time this Christmas putting together some of these same hygiene kits that will now benefit the people of Southeast Asia."

Olsen continued, "These shipments are part of a four-pronged response to relieve the suffering in southern Asia. Their first priority is to make an accurate assessment to match resources to needs. Secondly, immediate needs are being met by in-country purchases and air shipments of urgently needed supplies. A third prong of response will be to send containers of follow-up supplies by ship and other surface transportation. The fourth area of response will be to address the long-term needs.

"Not only have we donated generously to Humanitarian Services, but our offices in that area of the world are taking a major part in the relief effort as well. The day after the tsunami, our Thailand office purchased food and water to be distributed to those in need. They are donating their time for translation services for foreigners in hospitals and packing and preparing relief and hygiene packets. They are also offering lodging for families of victims. We are grateful for the sacrifices they are making and for the good that they are accomplishing.

"Finally, our Tahitian Noni International distributors worldwide are deeply concerned about how they can help those in need. We have been inundated with requests from our distributors to know how they can help. We know that thousands of them are already donating money to support the relief efforts.
