MINNEAPOLIS, MN - August 26, 2008 - The Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) announced today that on September 15, 2008, it will host the 4th Annual International Compliance and Ethics Awards ceremony. This annual event honors leaders in corporate compliance and business ethics.

"These awards pay tribute to those organizations and individuals making significant and important contributions to the corporate compliance and business ethics profession," said Odell Guyton, Senior Counsel and Director of Compliance for Microsoft Corporation, Co-Chair of the SCCE Advisory Board.

"Each year since the SCCE instituted this awards program it has honored leaders in the compliance and business ethics field who exemplify professional integrity and who strengthen the profession," said Guyton.

Award Recipients

This year's award recipients include two individuals and two organizations making considerable contributions to the fast-growing corporate compliance and ethics profession: "The SCCE 4th Annual International Compliance and Ethics Award recipients are recognized by their peers as pioneers and leaders in the compliance and ethics profession," said Guyton.

The following individuals and organizations will be honored:

  • SCCE International Compliance and Ethics Award: Iwao Taka, Ph.D. Professor, International School of Economics and Business Administration, Reitaku University, Japan

  • SCCE Compliance and Ethics Award: Ethics Resource Center, award to be accepted by Pat Harned, Chief Executive Officer, Ethics Resource Center , Arlington, VA, USA - http://www.ethics.org/.

  • HCCA Compliance and Ethics Award: John Falcetano, CCEP, CHC-F, CHRC, Chief Audit/Compliance Officer, University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina, Greenville, NC,USA.

  • CCB Compliance and Ethics Award: Florida Gulf Coast University, award to be accepted by David E. Steckler, Director, Compliance Specialist Certificate Graduate Program, Florida Gulf Coast University located in Fort Myers, FL, USA.
