Carbonfund.org Helps Jets.com Go Green

SILVER SPRING, MD, January 8, 2008 - Carbonfund.org today announced it has partnered with Jets.com, the award-winning jet travel company, to provide a way for Jets.com clients to offset the carbon footprint they create when using a private jet.

Using internationally recognized methodologies and data from the World Resources Institute, Carbonfund.org worked with Jets.com to determine the CO2 emission rates for each jet type. To counteract the CO2 released into the air from their private jet flight, Jets.com customers can voluntarily add a small charge equaling their carbon emissions to their travel cost. These charges will then be contributed to Carbonfund.org for reforestation projects across the United States.

"Providing private jet clients with the ability to fly carbon neutral is yet another win in the fight against global warming," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "Offsetting flights with trees helps restore ecosystems, habitats and greens communities, as well as create jobs. We applaud Jets.com's industry leadership in taking a stand against global warming."

"We are committed to providing a real and immediate solution to an issue of concern, not only to Jets.com and its clients, but also to private air travelers all over the world," said Nate McKelvey, CEO of Jets.com. "Working with Carbonfund.org, we are now able to provide our clients with the means to lessen the ecological impact of their travel. Flying carbon neutral enables our clients to make positive environmental choices and counteract the addition of more greenhouse gases into our atmosphere."
