SEATTLE, WA - August 13, 2007- Thermal Remediation Services, Inc. (TRS) announced today that it offset its carbon emissions with Carbonfund.org, the country's leading carbon reduction and offset organization. This practical step highlights TRS's commitment to be a leader in the Environmental Remediation industry.

TRS's stakeholders are very concerned about global warming. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org are a natural extension of the work TRS does on behalf of its stakeholders.

"We are proud of our leadership position in the environmental remediation industry and of our recent commitment to become a carbon neutral company. While we work to lower the carbon dioxide emissions we generate as a company we will offset those emissions we are not able to eliminate by purchasing offset credits. We feel an obligation to minimize our impact on the environment by reducing our carbon footprint and we encourage others to follow us. That is why our carbon neutral initiative contains provisions to help our teaming partners and our customers join us in preserving our quality of life for future generations." Michael Dodson, President of Thermal Remediation Services, Inc.

"It's a pleasure to have Thermal Remediation Services join the CarbonFree program," said Steve Offutt, Senior Advisor at Carbonfund.org. "In addition to their own commitment, by helping to recover brownfield sites, TRS is contributing to improving our urban forms, which also reduces emissions by reducing sprawl and its attendant traffic."

TRS is recognized as the market leader in the remediation of commercial and industrial real estate including Brownfield sites using Electrical Resistance Heating (ERH). TRS is proud of its perfect safety record with no OSHA recordable accidents in over 200,000 hours worked. TRS brings the expertise, experience and knowledge gained from performing ERH on over 60 projects nationwide to each new remediation site.

Carbonfund.org is a non-profit organization whose goal is to make carbon offsets and climate protection easy, affordable and a normal way of life for every individual and business. Carbon offsets enable individuals and businesses to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in one location, where it is cost effective, to offset the emissions they are responsible for in their normal activities, like home, office, driving or air travel emissions. By supporting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects Carbonfund.org will retire an equivalent amount of carbon offsets. The financial support from these offsets will then help to continue the development of clean, renewable domestic sources of energy.
