CHEVERLY, MD.- May 24th, 2007 "“ MOSAIC, a 100% wind powered print communication solution provider in Cheverly, Maryland announced on Earth Day (April 22, 2007) that it achieved its "Carbon Neutral" goal by offsetting its carbon emissions created by its operations with Carbonfund.org, the country's leading carbon reduction and offset organization. MOSAIC has offset some 413 tons of CO2. emissions from its employee’s automobiles commuting and natural gas usage for heating. This practical step, which is one of several, highlights MOSAIC's commitment to being an environmental leader in the business community.

"MOSAIC's customers and employees are very concerned about global warming. Considering the implications of climate change, carbon offsets through Carbonfund.org are a natural extension of the work MOSAIC does on behalf of the environment," said Brendan Connors. He and Joe Fontana, Co-Owners of MOSAIC, challenge fellow members in the business community "to do all they can to lessen their carbon footprint on our environment". Joe also commented, "It is our environmental obligation as caretakers for our and future generations to give back what the industries of America have taken for granted for so long."

"MOSAIC is leading the way in the fight against global warming and proving that companies can meet the triple bottom line - profits, people and planet - in a simple and effective manner that will have tremendous environmental impact," said Eric Carlson, Executive Director of Carbonfund.org. "I applaud MOSAIC for their leadership; we are delighted to be working with them."

Carbonfund.org is a non-profit organization whose goal is to make carbon offsets and climate protection simple, affordable and a normal way of life for every individual and business. Carbon offsets enable individuals and businesses to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in one location, where it is cost effective, to offset the emissions they are responsible for in their normal activities, like home, office, driving or air travel emissions. For instance, a clean, zero CO2 wind farm can offset the carbon dioxide produced by a coal-fired power plant. By supporting renewable energy, energy efficiency, and reforestation projects, Carbonfund.org’s partners are reducing the threat of climate change today while helping to drive down the cost of clean technology and hasten our transformation to a clean energy future.
