WALTHAM,MA. - May 30, 2008 - The Board of Directors of the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association (ECOA) announced that James D. Berg and Jack W. Radke have been elected Chairman and Vice Chair of the Board for a two year term beginning July 1, 2008.

Jim Berg is the Director, Ethics & Business Practice for International Paper, the Fortune 100 global and packaging company headquartered in Memphis Tennessee. Mr. Berg joined International Paper in 1993 as Executive Assistant to the Chairman and CEO. He also served as Director of Finance (CFO) for International Paper Europe prior to assuming his current position as Director, Ethics and Business Practice. Prior to joining IP, Mr. Berg was appointed by President G.H.W. Bush and confirmed by the US Senate as Executive Vice President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), and later served as President and CEO of OPIC. Prior to 1989, Berg held positions in the US Department of the Interior, the National Security Council, and the Department of State. This service followed two years in the US Peace Corps. Mr. Berg received an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University, and a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in international economics from Princeton University on a Woodrow Wilson fellowship. Berg succeeds the current Chair, Robert Holmes, who served with distinction these past two years.

Jack Radke is the Chief Ethics Officer for UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 21 diversified health company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to his appointment at United Health, Radke was a lawyer in private practice and as in-house counsel for twenty years with H.J. Heinz. As Heinz's first Director of Ethics, he created the company's global ethics and compliance program which was recognized as a finalist for the Pittsburgh Business Ethics Award in 2004. Mr. Radke received his B.A. in economics with honors from Princeton University and his J.D. /M.B.A. from Northwestern University School of Law and its J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
