NASHVILLE, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 20, 2005--The Spirit of America Tour has completed 55 shows honoring the country's military personnel and families at bases from Maine to Alaska. The idea for the tour was born in the ashes of September 11 by Robert and Nina Rosenthal to help give the military community here a brief respite from their ongoing and deepening responsibility. This organization is totally funded by the Rosenthal's and private contributions.

The Spirit of America Tour has one goal. That goal is to bring headline entertainment to our hardworking troops here in the United States. "The tour is an opportunity to give back to our Armed Forces a part of this great country. I know, as does millions of others, that without their sacrifice the United States would not be the best place in the World to live," says Robert Rosenthal.

The shows are exclusively for the troops and their families, free of charge and not open to the general public. The artist time and talent is donated, but the tour picks up all related cost including band and crew salaries, lodging, transportation, production, etc.

The Robert and Nina Rosenthal Foundation, a nonprofit corporation, underwrites the cost. Bases from remote Alaska to heavily populated areas have all seen shows from the Spirit of America Tour. The tour does not engage in activities overseas and does not receive any government funds.

The Spirit of America Tour has received numerous commendations from many top ranking military and defense officials, numerous members of Congress as well as the community to which the tour serves, the military. The Spirit of America Tour is such a fun and fulfilling experience for the artists who participate that many request an encore at other military bases around the country.

Artists who have appeared include: Clint Black, Travis Tritt, Charlie Daniels, Jaci Velasquez, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dennis Miller, Blood Sweat and Tears, Patty Loveless, Carrot Top, Miranda Lambert, Buddy Jewell, Oak Ridge Boys.
