BISMARCK, N.D.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 26, 2007--The Qwest Foundation today announced an award of $10,000 to the North Dakota Association of Nonprofit Organizations' (NDANO) annual leadership conference to be held June 3-5, 2007, in Fargo. The conference will provide North Dakota segment leaders with key training in the areas of non-profit management and fundraising.
"We are pleased to participate in this year's NDANO leadership conference," said Scott Macintosh, Qwest state president for North Dakota. "Qwest is committed to strengthening the important work of the non-profit organizations in North Dakota."
"Qwest has been such an avid supporter of our annual leadership conference, and, because of that, we are able to provide an educational and networking forum at this joint conference," said Jean Walton, assistant executive director of NDANO. "This allows non-profit sector leaders from across the state to enhance individual skills and organizational effectiveness to serve the communities within our state."
This year NDANO has developed a partnership with the North Dakota Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. By conducting a joint conference, NDANO will expand the educational tracks and networking opportunities for attendees. The joint conference will provide an additional day of sessions and increased attendance from five states, thereby maximizing opportunities for the education for staff, volunteers and board members serving the non-profit sector.
