ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 2007--InnoWare, Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of upscale, disposable plastic food containers and paper tableware products, recently launched a line of thermoformed to-go food containers that is 100% compostable and made from an annual renewable resource.

According to InnoWare's Vice President of Marketing, Annika Randrup, "This new product launch comes in response to the ever-increasing restaurant and consumer demand for environmentally-friendly packaging along with our company's own commitment to conducting business in an environmentally-responsible manner."

InnoWare is partnering with Cereplast, Inc. (OTCBB:CERP), a producer of proprietary bio-based resins, to manufacture its new packaging, which is certified as "compostable" by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). In order to achieve this certification, a plastic product must decompose within 60 to 180 days. Only a handful of plastic containers made from an annual renewable resource have this designation.

Unlike materials designated as biodegradable, those certified as compostable are designed to compost quickly without releasing any toxic residues. According to Randrup, "Our Eco-Line returns to nature rapidly and without a trace. In addition, it's disposable with food waste. No separation is required."

Randrup added, "The result of using a resin derived from an annual renewable resource, such as corn, is that the manufacture of InnoWare's Eco-Line features a greatly reduced environmental impact. Corn can be grown again. Certain other resources that are used to manufacture compostable packaging can't be replaced."

Because InnoWare's Eco-Line is manufactured from Cereplast resin, the containers feature additional distinct advantages over most other compostable packaging. Not only are they more durable, but they also
feature the ability to withstand heat up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. This is important with regard to maintaining the integrity of the packaging during transport and storage.

Eco-Line's logo, which is embossed on the solid lids, features the tagline, "Return to Nature". Randrup stated, "This is a clear message to the end-user that our product is environmentally-friendly and that we as a company are actively involved in preserving our natural resources."

InnoWare is introducing the compostable packaging, known as its Eco-Line, via its Expressions design. This attractive, two-piece, square, plastic food container is available in 3 sizes with both solid and clear embossed lids. Customers have the option to build brand awareness by having their logo embossed on either of the two lid styles. Immediate plans call for additional packaging designs to be added to InnoWare's Eco-Line.
