- April 5, 2009 - Strategies to maximize the business and social return on cause marketing programs will be the focus when the Cause Marketing Forum (www.causemarketingforum.com), the world's largest gathering of executives dedicated to doing well by doing good, convenes at the Westin Chicago River North on May 27 & 28.

The business and nonprofit pros behind some of America's most outstanding cross-sector campaigns will be among the two-dozen presenters at the seventh annual Cause Marketing Forum. Keynote presentations include:

  • Cause marketing visionary Bill Shore, founder and executive director of Share Our Strength, recipient of the 2009 Cause Marketing Golden Halo Award for Nonprofits
  • Timberland Global Marketing VP Carol Yang sharing the philosophy and strategies that earned her company the 2009 Cause Marketing Golden Halo Award for Business
  • Strategies on building programs that drive traffic at retail featuring presenters from Macy's and Ford
  • Sessions on topics such as building media partnerships, working with celebrities, sales strategy and skills-based volunteering led by executives from Procter & Gamble, OfficeMax, US Fund for UNICEF, The Food Network, Burt's Bees, Dow and many more.
"We've attracted the most respected and dynamic experts at doing well by doing good to share their key success factors," said David Hessekiel, president and founder of Cause Marketing Forum Inc.. "The conference "“ and our pre- and post-conference workshops "“ make this an enriching program for veterans and newcomers alike."

Other conference highlights include an opening dinner on May 27 featuring a keynote on "The State of Cause" by industry pioneer Carol Cone; presentation of the annual Cause Marketing Halo Awards; and pre- and post-conference workshops featuring introductory and advanced topics.

"Social Media for Cause Marketers" has proven the most popular pre-conference workshop topic to date. "Working with workshop leader Scott Henderson of MediaSauce, we've developed a valuable introduction to social media strategy and tools specifically for companies and nonprofits focused on bulding successful alliances," said Hessekiel.

Conference and workshop details are available at www.causemarketingforum.com or by calling (914) 921-3914.
