ITASCA, IL - March 22, 2007 "“ The National Safety Council announced its 2007 list of CEOs Who "Get It" recognizing corporate leaders who have made the safety and health of their employees, their employees families and the communities where they operate a critical part of business operations.
Since 2004, the National Safety Council has recognized CEOs whose business philosophies and practices demonstrate that safety is an integral part of their business success and sustainability.
"For the National Safety Council, instilling a culture of safety throughout corporate America is top priority," said National Safety Council President and CEO Alan C. McMillan. "For these nine CEOs who understand what it takes to achieve and sustain that culture, safety is a priority every day, all day."
This year's CEOs Who "Get It" represent a wide range of industries in both size and business focus. The nine winners and their companies are:
