ITASCA, IL Dec. 6, 2006 - The Robert W. Campbell Award Program Committee invites organizations from around the world to participate in the 2007 cycle of this prestigious international award for business excellence in safety, health and environmental management.

The call for applications seeks successful business models from organizations that excel in both SH&E and business performance. Case studies must demonstrate how measurable achievement in SH&E performance is linked to productivity, profitability and other measures of business performance.

Winning success stories are published and showcased at various conferences around the world throughout the year. The Campbell Award winner will be announced at the National Safety Council's 95th Annual Congress & Expo in Chicago, Oct. 12-19.

Companies enter within separate size categories. Category I organizations are enterprises with more than 1,000 employees, and subsidiaries of those enterprises; Category II organizations employ up to 1,000 people. Reviewers for the award are nominated and selected by the award's network of global partners. All companies that enter the award review process will receive written comments from the international expert reviewers.

The award is co-founded by the National Safety Council and the ExxonMobil Foundation, the award's underwriter. In addition, the award is supported by a broad network of international organizations that provide worldwide outreach.
