NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 22, 2006--Prospero Minerals Corp. (OTC BB: PSPO) announced today that Didier Llinas has returned as a director of Prospero, after a short absence due to personal reasons. Additionally, Mr. Llinas has returned as Director of Lobaye Gold SURL, the mining operation encompassing the gold-and-diamond mining operations for Prospero in the Central Africa Republic. Mr. Llinas will be in charge of all aspects of the mining operation which encompass the mineral properties that form part of the Licenses covering an aggregate surface area of 2,200 square kilometers. These Licenses were granted on April 13, 2005, and expire on April 12, 2008.
In further corporate developments, Prospero also announced that it is currently in direct negotiations with several companies which specialize in the extraction of preferred minerals such as water, oil and gas throughout the global footprint where such operations exist today.
