New Workshop and Management Tools Enable Businesses To Benchmark and Leverage Partnerships with NGOs

TORONTO ON - September 9, 2008 - Partnerships with NGOs are the foundation of corporate community programs. They add credibility to alignment with social issues, offer new opportunities to reach and influence stakeholders, and add authenticity to internal and external communications. However, these key relationships often involve significant quantitative investment but have largely qualitative benefits/outcomes that are typically difficult to assess.

To address this issue, Paul Klein, President of Impakt and an authority on community investment and partnership building, and Jon Packer, President of Idea Workshop, an award-winning communications agency with specialty social responsibility insight have developed Impakt Workshop. These workshops enable community investment managers to leverage partnerships with non-profits and feature a new management tool designed to help corporations improve the cost/benefit of their more important relationships with non-profits.

These interactive and informative workshops provide a forum for businesses to share best practices, network with peers, and learn from two leading authorities on community investment and social responsibility. The next two workshops will take place in Toronto on September 25th and Vancouver on October 23rd. The details are as follows:
