COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 2006--Junior Achievement (JA) of Orange County/Inland Empire California proudly announced Option One Mortgage Corp. as one of their winners of the President's Volunteer Service Award. Option One received its award at a JA board meeting on June 22, 2006. Board Member Kim Denger, who is director of Corporate Affairs at Option One, accepted the award. In 2002, President Bush challenged all Americans in his State of the Union address to make time to help their neighbors, communities and nation through service. With contributing over 200 associate volunteer hours, opening their offices for Job Shadow and being one of our major donors, Option One has more than accepted this challenge.

"Option One has been a huge supporter of JA programs in communities where their employees have lived and worked for the past six years," said Christine Shewbridge, president of Junior Achievement of Orange County/Inland Empire.

"Their continued volunteer support has enabled us to grow our vital programs and positively impact students' lives."

The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation created the President's Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

Option One Mortgage Corp. received an official President's Volunteer Service Award pin, a personalized certificate of achievement, a note of congratulations from the President of the United States and a letter from the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation.
