SAN FRANCISCO, CA. - April 15, 2009 - The Center for Resource Solutions announced today that Integrys Energy Services' renewable energy certificate (REC) product, Ecovations(TM) Renewable Energy RECs, is now Green-e(R) Energy Certified. Ecovations Renewable Energy RECs come from a variety of sources, including solar. Integrys Energy Services joins the growing network of renewable energy providers that offer products certified by Green-e Energy, the nation's leading certification and verification program for renewable energy. Green-e Energy has more than 180 participating vendors that sold nearly 15.7 million megawatt-hours of renewable energy in 2007. The program provides independent, third-party certification to ensure certified renewable energy meets strict environmental and consumer protection standards.

"We are excited that Integrys Energy Services is offering a Green-e Energy Certified renewable energy product," said Green-e Energy Program Analyst Andreas Karelas. "By giving its commercial customers a way to offset the environmental impact of their electricity use, Integrys is showing leadership in moving us away from fossil fuel generation, a leading contributor to local health impacts and climate change."

Integrys Energy Services can now offer commercial customers a cost-effective way of meeting their sustainability strategies that is certified by Green-e Energy. By purchasing Ecovations Renewable Energy RECs, customers will support currently available renewable resources as well as aid in the development of new renewable resources in the United States, in accordance with the high environmental and customer standards set by the Center for Resource Solutions.

Charles Koontz, General Manager for renewable energy, efficiency, and conservation at Integrys Energy Services said that, "Customers have repeatedly asked us for products that allow them to back up their environmental commitments with concrete, measurable action, and this is part of our response. We are asking them to consider the purchase of our RECs as part of an integrated approach to changing their energy-related environmental footprint."

Providers of Green-e Energy Certified renewable energy agree to abide by the Green-e Energy Code of Conduct, and meet strict disclosure and truth-in-advertising requirements. All marketers of Green-e Energy Certified products undergo an annual verification audit to document that the company purchased and/or generated enough quantity and type of renewable energy to meet customer demand and marketing claims.

The Green-e logo, the national symbol for renewable energy excellence, enables a growing number of consumers to easily identify high quality, certified renewable energy options, as well as everyday consumer products that are produced by companies that use renewable energy in their operations.
