ATLANTA, GA. - May 6, 2009 - HandsOn Network today announced an alignment with the PGA TOUR that will leverage the volunteerism, philanthropic and community improvement priorities and assets of both organizations. As two "volunteer forces," the TOUR and HandsOn will work together to further improve communities across the United States. At the heart of the partnership is a desire to inspire others to serve and connect to volunteer opportunities through HandsOn Network's 250 affiliates and its network of 70,000 nonprofit organizations.

The announcement was made at the HandsOn Network Corporate Service Council annual meeting in New York "“ the PGA TOUR is a recent addition to the Corporate Service Council "“ and is part of the PGA TOUR's broader charity platform that was also announced today: "Together, anything's possible."

"The PGA TOUR, its tournaments and players have a rich history of community involvement, volunteerism and philanthropy. Together, we will write a new chapter-one that builds upon the past and leverages the potential of this current day," said Michelle Nunn, CEO of Points of Light Institute and Co-Founder of HandsOn Network. "The story of the PGA TOUR and its volunteers is a tangible demonstration of the impact that giving of your time and talents can have on your local community and this country."

Through this partnership, HandsOn Network plans to continue to equip, mobilize and inspire people to take action in their communities.

"We at the PGA TOUR are proud of our legacy of giving back to the communities in which our tournaments are played," said PGA TOUR Commissioner Tim Finchem. "HandsOn's knowledge and relationships in local communities will be invaluable in TOUR’s commitment to enhance and enrich the communities where we have TPCs and tournaments. We are excited about the opportunities that exist with HandsOn to make an even greater impact together than we ever have separately."
