New York, NY - May 20, 2008 - JPMorgan Chase announced today that it will donate $300,000 and match employee contributions up to $100,000 to international organizations assisting victims of the earthquake in China and cyclone in Myanmar. The funds will provide relief and recovery programs to survivors and their communities.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the millions of people affected by these disasters," said Gaby Abdelnour, Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan in the Asia Pacific. "Our first priority is to assist in immediate humanitarian relief efforts and to identify ways of assisting in the longer term to help people rebuild their lives and communities."

Myanmar

JPMorgan Chase donated $100,000 to CARE International for Myanmar to leverage the organization's experience in the region and its well established infrastructure there. China

The company will donate $200,000 for immediate relief to the American Red Cross in China, where relief workers and volunteers are distributing food, water, tents and other supplies to people in the affected areas of Sichuan Province.

Soon after the earthquake, JPMorgan employees in the Asia began contributing to aid the victims. The company and employees contributed more than $400,000 to a local non-profit, the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, for needed food, water and supplies.
